HUMBLE September 24

 GOOD NEWS from John 13: 5

So He got up from the supper table, took off His Robe, wrapped a towel around His Loins, poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel He had around Him, with which He was gilded.

HUMBLE HEART

Dear Heavenly Father God and Beautiful Lord,

Thank You for walking this earth in HUMILITY, and for revealing the tender heart of Our Father so clearly.

Though You were a King. You laid down Your Crown and became like a HUMBLE Servant to all humankind.

I have yet to conceive thinking that our Creator of the universe and Creator of everything within it would HUMBLY go incognito, clothed in flesh and bones loke mine.

While the Israelites were waiting on a warrior king to rescue them from earthly governments, You came as a HUMBLE Savior, like a lamb.

Father,when I begin to think I deserve more than what I am walking through, redirect my gaze to the HUMBLE Life of Jesus. 

Though He was perfect in a fallen world, He HUMBLY took the loving-kindness route everytime. 

LOVE IS COSTLY.

Choosing to HUMBLE my heart before You and others is a costly act of faith.

When I think I deserve more or better, I get angry, rather than loving 😔 

When I don't get what I want, I get angry or depressed rather than loving.

GOOD NEWS from 2Corinthians 4: 18 So we focus our ATTENTION on what we can see right now, the joys and miracles all around us, and what is yet to be seen. We look forward to the joys in heaven which we have yet to see. The joys to come will last forever.
