COMPASSION February 23
GOOD NEWS from 2 Corinthians 1: 3
Praise be to The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. What a wonderful mighty God we serve—He is the Source of each mercy, the Father of all COMPASSION and the God of every comfort, Who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us. And why does He strengthen us? So that when others need strengthening, and need our sympathy, COMPASSION and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help, COMPASSION and comfort that God has given us.
FATHER OF COMPASSION
Dear Heavenly Father God,
Thank You that I can eagerly come to You with the reality of my heart today.
I will boldly step forward to Your Throne of Grace, knowing You will meet me with COMPASSIONATE approval and Your Warm Smile of Welcome.
You are the perfect parent Who always turns towards Your Children with Joy, Love, and COMPASSION.
You know me completely, and You accept me just as I am.
Because of some of the experiences I have had with my own earthly family, I sometimes question Your intentions and Your COMPASSION for me.
I know that You are so much better and so much more than what I left behind, and anyone I have ever known.
Your love is persistently intense, COMPASSIONATE, infinite, always and forever.
You fully and COMPASSIONATELY embrace me in every state and season in which I find myself.
Rather than perfection from me, you look for my progress, and my perfect willingness and my openness in our relationship.
Thank You for that simple and beautiful COMPASSIONATE truth.
