GOOD NEWS from PSALM 62: 5

REST in God O my soul. Stand silently before the Lord, waiting for Him to restcue me. For my hope and my salvation come from Him alone.

LEARNING TO REST 

Dear Lord,

Thank You for the silence I find in REST. 

Some of the best music is heard in the REST!

In silent REST I find my questions rise more easily to the surface.

In silent REST, Your Answers come out clearer and creep into my consciousness.

Help me welcome them in and realize You are here in my REST. 

REST would do me good.

Today, I will be brave and steadfast of what the stillness of REST reveals.

I know You see it all.

You are aware of all the thoughts and feelings that are RESTING in and leaking out the breaks in my heart.

You Omniscient God, are ALL Wisdom. 

Speak Your Wisdom to my questions lying bare and RESTING in the cracked spaces of my heart.

I expect You to act because I know You will accept me as I am and turn toward me in joy and gladness.

You are such a patient loving Father.

You are my calming when I need certainty and my quieting when I need REST.

I will let the unknown rise to the surface and REST in the mystery of Your Presence, which changes everything.

Thank You for hope that arises as You meet me here in REST.

    When I rest, the first thing that comes to the surface of my mind is an image of Jesus walking toward me.

GOOD NEWS from 2Corinthians 4: 18 So we focus our ATTENTION on what we can see right now, the joys and miracles all around us, and what is yet to be seen. We look forward to the joys in heaven which we have yet to see. The joys to come will last forever.
